Today, we honor fathers for all they do for their families. For fathers here on earth, and in memory of fathers who have passed away, “Happy Father’s Day”.
If you have your father, step-father, or other father-figure:
- Take time today to recall the good memories and honor him.
- Be thankful for the blessing of a father.
If you are a father:
- Recall the good memories with family and plan to enjoy the day.
- Be thankful for the privilege of fatherhood.
If any of the above seem difficult, take time to release any hurt, any offense, or even grief from loss of a father to God. Regardless of circumstances (good or bad) or the condition of a human relationship (good or bad), know that God is the ultimate father to all who come to him. God is faithful to give beauty for ashes, oil of joy for mourning, and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness (Isaiah 61:3).
Jesus made a way for us to be reconciled to our Heavenly Father, and He equipped believers to bring reconciliation to others. Because of Jesus, we find forgiveness and the ability to forgive others. We receive healing in every area of life. Jesus freed us from the bondage of the past. As a result, we are equipped to help others find freedom. Furthermore, we find joy and peace. This Father’s Day and everyday, remember that our Heavenly Father is good, He does good, and He loves you more than you can comprehend.
Blessings to all you fathers following after God and leading by example. Be abundantly blessed today. Enjoy your family, your friends, and create more good memories.
A special thanks goes out in honor of my husband and my own father for their love and leadership.
Happy Father’s Day Everybody!
